West Lothian Branch RAA have worked closely with Ian Inglis, founder of the Scottish Military Museum and as a result of that partnership we have the privilege to be able to host our monthly branch meetings within the museum.
The museum is open to the public six days a week from 10.00 to 16.00 Tuesdays – Sundays. However, the museum is closed to the public on Mondays to allow for school visits or private bookings.
Admission Fees
Adults – £6.00
Children – £3.50
Family Ticket – £17.00
This is a very unique establishment as unlike traditional museums where the exhibits are behind glass, visitors are encouraged to handle some of the displays. In addition to the indoor displays there is also an external exhibit in the form of a mock-up of a WWI trench and dugout. The museum is continuing to expand and has just recently launched Military Museum Scotland Outreach. The primary aim of this initiative is education and reminiscence.
